Initial Consultation

This will be organised with the most appropriate consultant within the Partnership and following information as to what you are being referred for.
If you are requesting to refer yourself we will go through details  with you prior to making an appointment.

During your consultation your consultant will go through the details of your referral and examine you in the consulting room during which a chaperone may be present.  The consultant will then plan with you the next step of your treatment.

Please note if you have medical insurance you will need to contact them prior to the consultation for pre authorisation.  You will be emailed a letter on confirmation of your appointment that will give you details for when you contact your insurer.

An initial consultation last on average half an hour and the fee for this is £285.  Follow up consultations last on average a quarter of an hour and the fee for this is £230.

Please note that if you are being referred for a second opinion  the team will review your information and details of your treatment to date and this may be reviewed at the Specialist Multidisciplinary Team Meeting (SMDT).  the fee for the SMDT is £575. Following this the outcome of the SMDT will be sent to your referring doctor for them to communicate with you. An appointment following the SMDT opinion is not always required.

To ensure optimal opinion from the team alongside clinical information, images, scan and histology reports will be requested prior to discussion at the SMDT.

Should a second opinion initial consultation be offered these last on average an hour and the fee for this is £575.  Follow up second opinion consultations last on average half an hour and the fee for this is £285.
